From an early age, I was drawn to understanding the body, which led me into the fitness world. What started with exercise and nutrition gradually became something deeper. I wanted to understand why people feel, react, and struggle the way they do, and why change doesn’t last.
What I kept seeing was that people felt stuck. They couldn’t fully make sense of their actions or emotions, were hard on themselves, and kept putting things off, even when they wanted to move forward.
So I went further.
I spent years studying the connection between the body, the mind, and emotions, learning from different schools and approaches within the holistic space. Each offered something valuable, but none fully came together. I kept sensing something was missing, especially when it came to truly understanding the female experience.
Over time, I started to see it more clearly. Most approaches are built around methods, and every method carries the perspective and limitations of the person who created it. They can work, but only to a point.
That’s what shaped my work.
I don’t apply fixed methods or give you something to follow.
We work through real situations from your life, understanding your emotions, tapping into your intuition, supporting your inner child, bringing shadow parts to the surface, and linking physical symptoms to their psychosomatic roots.
When your nervous system feels supported, it moves out of survival, and you naturally begin to respond instead of react.
Gave me a strong foundation in holistic health, including the connection between the body, emotions, and the psychosomatic aspect of health, as well as kinesiology.
My training with Journeys of Wisdom reshaped how I see the connection between the mind, the body, and the patterns we carry. It brought clarity to how fear and shame drive much of our behavior, and strengthened the intuitive way I guide my sessions.
My training with Illuminate challenged me to face the parts of myself I once avoided. It showed me that real empathy comes from lived experience, not theory, and that I cannot guide someone somewhere I haven’t been willing to go myself. That is what shapes how I hold space today.
“You can probably tell by her words, Houry is an amazing practitioner. Her honesty and humbleness allow her to share life experiences which have not only taught her better than any teacher could, but they also give her insight that makes her work with her clients compassionately effective.
I cannot recommend her skills highly enough. She’s a beautiful person whom your soul deserves to meet.”
"Houry brings many powerful aspects to her coaching. What stands out for me is her willingness to swim in any waters, her patience, her assertiveness and her kind yet ferocious way of guiding clients to embody guiding themselves.
Houry is a rare bird and I highly recommend her."
"It is truly an honor to recommend Houry, who has been an absolute joy to work with. She is not only a highly skilled practitioner in exercise and lifestyle, but also possesses a rare and powerful sense of intuition that elevates her work far beyond the technical. Guided in part by the philosophy of Paul Chek’s “I, We, All” principle, Houry has clearly done the inner work required to serve others at the highest level. This shows up in her ability to connect deeply with her clients and deliver care that is both meaningful and lasting.
Houry embodies empathy, compassion, and genuine care in everything she does. She is someone who makes people feel truly seen and supported, and that is a quality that cannot be taught. Beyond her professional abilities, she is a beautiful person inside and out, and I feel incredibly fortunate to call her both a colleague and a friend. I recommend her with the highest level of confidence and without reservation."
